The Grand Slam was first introduced in 1981, to meet the growing needs of professional tennis players. Utilising an advanced cushioning system at the time, athletes were able to adjust the heel density through three exchangeable heel pegs. Now Adidas has exclusively re-created them in four new colour ways of calvi, light pink, hydra and Argentina blue especially for oki-ni. The distinctive perforated full grain leather upper provides excellent support whilst allowing breathability. The removable heel pegs are embossed with the signature trefoil on the outside side along with dual branding on the insole and shoe tongue. The rubber outsole provides excellent grip combined with a rotation disc on the ball of the foot relieving excessive pressure on the knees.
